GloSoBo winter light celebration
The committee reviewed plans to create a new winter festival called GloSoBo (Celebrating Generations of Light). The evening event is envisioned as a secular, winter-themed celebration featuring building lights, wreaths, projectors, and entertainment, proposed for Friday, December 3, 2027.
- Planned for the Southborough town center with white lights, wreaths, illuminated displays, and hot refreshments.
- Tentatively scheduled for Friday, December 3, 2027, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM to avoid conflict with weekend holiday events.
- The event carries an estimated budget ceiling of approximately $10,000.
Outcome: The committee voted 5-0 to formally include GloSoBo in the official Tricentennial calendar.
