The Southborough Historical Commission approved four historic house signs, encumbered remaining FY26 funds, and reviewed the draft downtown wayfinding plan. At its June 24, 2026 meeting, the Southborough Historical Commission approved four historic house sign applications, including resolving a longstanding research puzzle for 24 East Main Street and encumbering remaining fiscal year funds. Members reviewed the draft Downtown Southborough Wayfinding Plan, cautioning against visual sign clutter while requesting that key historic landmarks be properly highlighted. The commission also received progress updates on the Town Common fencing contract, the installation of the Boston and Worcester trolley sign, and an upcoming meeting to explore repurposing the Rural Cemetery water tower. Longtime member Kelly O'Brien was recognized at her final meeting before relocating out of town.
